Meet the Pastry Chef: Claudia Omaña
Our Story
The dream of Dulce Maná was born in Colombia, where the owner, Claudia Omaña, learned from her grandmother how to prepare desserts and sweets to enjoy with family. Pastry-making has always been an innate passion for Claudia, which led her to create Dulce Maná.
Claudia came to the United States in 2019. After working in different fields, a call from a friend, advice from her father, and the desire to start her own business motivated Claudia in 2021 to launch the project she had longed for since her days in Colombia, which is now known as Dulce Maná.
Dulce Maná is a pastry shop that aims to share its flavor and Colombian culture, delighting communities throughout the Bay Area—and, soon, the world! We specialize in tres leches, flan, and chocoflan. Our dream is to grow, create jobs, improve the state’s financial condition, and serve as an example for those who want to succeed with their ideas.
Claudia is grateful to God for allowing her to advance this project and overcome barriers related to immigration status and language to make her dream come true.
